Risk Management

Risk Management is defined as the activities, policies, procedures, and systems that are combined to reduce the City’s exposure to loss, and to protect the health, safety, and welfare of employees of the City. Risk Management’s central function is to monitor and manage the variety of areas that provide specific loss protection. Risk Management also focuses on reducing the occurrences of personal injury and property damage associated with the different kinds of accidents that may occur. Essentially, Risk Management acts as the gatekeeper for any claim associated with the City. Risk Management is a resource for information relating to risk, insurance, and safety issues for all departments within the City.
