Recreation Center Rules

Spring Break Camp
  • All patrons age 6 and over must have a valid recreation center membership to enter. All sales are final and no refunds will be given.
  • All children age 9 and under must be accompanied and supervised by someone age 18 or over.   
  • Patrons must be at least 16 years of age to use the fitness center without adult (21 and over) supervision.
  • Proper attire is required in the gymnasium and fitness center, including fitness attire, sweatpants or shorts, a shirt, closed-toe, and non-marking gym shoes, including Crocs. Headgear should not obscure the face.
  • Food and drinks are permitted in designated areas only. Water and sports drinks may be taken into the gymnasium and fitness center only if they have a leak-proof lid (and may not be taken on the gymnasium court itself). Chewing gum is prohibited.
  • Patrons may only play music in designated areas using personal earbuds or headphones. However, earbuds and headphones are not permitted on the gymnasium court.
  • The Recreation Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Personal items will not be stored by center staff for any reason. A limited number of lockers are available (locks are not provided). Lost and found items are kept for a two-week period.  
  • Recreation Centers are public facilities in which patrons (including youth) may come and go at any time during designated operating hours unless participating in a City program or event
  • All patrons must exit the facility prior to the posted closing time.
  • Good sportsmanship is expected for all activities.
  • Only authorized personnel are permitted to conduct personal training or teach instructional classes in this center.
  • Patrons may be photographed or videotaped for marketing purposes. If you wish not to be, please alert center staff.

The following are prohibited:

  • Alcohol or drugs, including patrons currently under the influence of either.
  • Vaping and use of tobacco products of any kind.    
  • Loud, foul or offensive language. 
  • Gambling, fighting, threatening, bullying or any other inappropriate conduct.
  • Gang activity or attire.
  • Organized athletic practices other than Parks and Recreation sponsored activities.
  • All animals, with the exception of certified service animals.
  • Dunking or hanging on basketball rims.
  • Use of electronics while actively participating in a recreational activity.

Any patrons who persist in disobeying rules are subject to the Parks and Recreation Department Disciplinary Policy and may be ejected from the facility.
